Friends of cello

The organisation of the „International WETTBEWERB VIOLONCELLO, Liezen“ which takes place in 2 year-intervals, requires not only the responsibility of choosing a suitable program for the contestants, but also establishing an international, competent jury with members from various fields of cello-performance and cello-teaching.
The public relation work and much moreis needed to aquire the financing necessary for the requirements of the budget for the competition.
Along with the major sponsors of the government of Steiermark and the city government of Liezen is still a gap to fill. Therefore we have founded the
“Freundeskreis Violoncello” (The Friendship Circle Cello) as a worthy support.
During the years of the competition, friends and interested persons from every facet of the cello world ,have contributed small and larger spendings, which have been a large support for our financial needs.
We are very thankful for these sponsors and the names will be published in our
brochures.
